                       Frequently Asked Questions

I am going to miss some sessions can I…

Come to a class on another day?

Unfortunately we cannot swap classes for a wide variety of reasons.

Just pay for the rest of this course

As you take a place on the full course you do have to pay for the full term.

Skip this term and come back next term?

You can skip a term and come back (however the terms are long so you must go swimming). More importantly you will lose you priority place and will only be rebooked when a place becomes available.

Can I move pool / day next term?

Should you need to move from your current day and pool you will come off the priority place and go onto a transfer list. Once all priority places have been allocated you will be contacted to place you in an available slot should one arise.

Aqua babies cannot hold your priority place as well as enter you onto the transfer list as this masks available places. Should you choose to go onto the transfer list your place is not guaranteed. However we will do our utmost to accommodate you.

I am pregnant with my next baby, I will miss some classes
          what can I do?

If you want to secure a place you can book and pay for the next course. When you are ready to stop due to your new baby please call the office to let us know. When you restart classes we will calculate how many classes you have missed (up to a maximum of 6 ) and will credit your next course with this amount. This is not a refund and cannot be given as a refund should you not rejoin.

I have rebooked and need to cancel

According to our terms and conditions all cancellations must be made in writing more than 10 days in advance of the new course date. A £10 administration charge will be deducted to your refund.

I am going on holiday…

Can I swim my baby whilst there?

You can continue practicing the swims you have learnt. Please have lots of breaks in the water and do not submerge your baby more times than you would in a lesson.

Can I swim my baby in the sea?

You can swim baby in sea water over the age of 6 months ( including submersions). Before this age salt in the sea water may be swallowed in excess of body weight. After swimming in the sea wash baby`s face with fresh water.

Should I use buoyancy aids on holiday?

You can use buoyancy aids for short periods on holiday. We recommend baby seats for babies under 1 and back packs/jackets` for older toddlers. We do not recommend they are used all of the time, as over dependence on them may occur.

Please see our shop for wetsuits and extra nappies. Out of season pools and the sea can be cool!
